April is the time of spring when azaleas on Mount Emei are in full blossom. Jinding, the west peak of Mount Emei, 3077 meters above the sea level, offers the best view of Golden Buddha, Golden Temple, sunrise, cloud sea, the Buddha's light, and Sacred Lamp. It is also the optimal location to appreciate Jinding azaleas, a rare variety of its kind in the world.

In each early summer, the azaleas are blooming in the cool breeze. The beautiful background, the Buhhda's light, and the flowers add to each other's charm even more. The high Jingding Peak clad with azalea flowers becomes a mountain of azalea standing among clouds. The Jinding azalea, blooms from May to June, with its corolla resembling bells swaying in the wind. Its flowers look as white as jade with a tinge of red in the sun. The petal' tips are redish as if wearing a thin layer of lipstick, like the lip color of a young girl, who is standing in front of you shyly with a smile, giving you one kiss after another.
